The Giant Native American Ghost was a large wooden statue puppeteered by Kenneth Moore using P.J. Flamboise's helicopter.
Physical appearance[]
The ghost was the apparition of a twenty-foot tall Native American man with prints on his face, and is wearing a red and black feathered headdress, yellow armbands, a gray coverup with black stripes, a dark yellow cloth on the front and blue jeans. He also carried around a red and black spear.
Personality[]
The ghost was an eerie spirit that was presumably angered when P.J. Flamboise was given part of the ceremonial land from the Wantawau tribe, where they would appear once a night, emotionlessly floating around while emitting an ear-piercing noise.
History[]
Scooby Doo... Where Are You! (Gold Key Comics)[]
The Giant Native American Ghost had made their unexpected appearance on the night P.J. Flamboise was about to be given part of the ceremonial land for his oil ranch, it floated about letting out a loud eerie noise that made people unable to hear each other without shouting, before suddenly disappearing without a trace. Afterwards, it would continuously show up each night up until P.J. would get the trustee of the tribe, Jeff Wingfield to contact Mystery Inc. into investigating the haunting.
The gang, along with Jeff and his horse Thunderhead later came across the ghost as he appeared from the fog and began floating across the area, but during the commotion, Thunderhead suddenly began rearing up like a helicopter was flying by, which revealed that as a sign of the ghost being a fake. After the ghost disappeared, a conclusion was made that it was a statue carried around from a helicopter owned by Flamboise, who gave the licence to an employee named Kenneth Moore.
Upon being figured out, P.J. attempted to get rid of the evidence by having Kenneth place the statue in the clearing so he could blow it up with some dynamite. However, while waiting, he was unaware of the gang discovering the evidence of the statue, up until the dynamite was noticed by Scooby and thrown into an oil derrick by Fred. He tried to get away, but was shortly apprehended and punished by the tribe for his attempt at illegally drilling the ceremonial lands for its oil. The headdress used for the giant Native American statue was later worn by Scooby, who Jeff awarded him, along with the rest of the gang as honorable members of the Wantawau tribe just for the occasional tradition.
