The giant cobra was a large green serpentine creature with a yellow underbelly, sharp fangs, scales along its dorsal side, a forked tongue, and a large hood. Based on its tracks, Velma estimated the cobra was twelve feet in length.

The giant cobra was a giant creature that terrorized the corridors of the pyramid, though its intimidation came mostly from its size and its menacing hiss.
History[]

The giant cobra was a robot operated by Omar and Khyyam, two expedition assistants of Henry Rogers. They wanted to steal a priceless ruby scarab he found in the Great Pyramid of Giza, so when he and his guide visited the pyramid, the cobra appeared and attacked them. Because Henry disappeared, the Egyptian government executed his will and invited his inheritors to Cairo to read the will.
In his will, Henry gave his great-nephew, Shaggy, the ruby scarab, so when Mystery Inc. appeared at the pyramid to read the will, the lights suddenly went out and the cobra appeared, stealing the scarab and kidnapping Ben Abi, the lawyer reading the will. As Fred, Daphne, and Velma found a workshop with machine parts for the cobra, Shaggy and Scooby found Henry, his guide, and Abi in the kitchen pantry, bound with bandages. However, they mistook them for mummies, and Omar and Khyyam also attacked them as hooded figures. They chased Shaggy and Scooby into a chute, but they fell on top of the cobra's head, defeating it. As Omar and Khyyam fell into the chute as well, the cobra fell on top of them, restraining them. They were unmasked, exposed for their crimes, and handed to authorities.
