The giant first showed up interrupting Ally Babble, a tour guide at the Finger Memorial Museum, during his story telling to the tourists by creating a massive hole in the wall.
Later on, the giant caused another dent in the museums walls and even made the exhibits tumble, nearly causing Daphne, who was trying to get a look from above a Quill and crush everyone with a giant bowling ball, to get injured from a high fall. Mystery Inc. Gotham City's heroes and Ally all got out and saw the giant, but it somehow quickly disappeared behind some buildings like it shrunk down in size.
Details on the giant, along with the other happenings that came about, were revealed by Eivol Ekdol, a puzzle themed supervillain who created a large balloon he and his henchmen used, and shrunk behind the buildings to give the illusion that it was walking away. The massive holes and dents it left on the walls were actually a giant wrecking ball that was carried by drones. Eivol did all of the scaring in order to have his henchmen sneak out a large cash register, as it and some of the other exhibits were old gadgets from past crimes he caused during some of Batman's cases, but the actual reason was to get back the loot he hid after paying the museum to sell his stuff when he was in jail at the time.
