The Ancient Astronauts are real aliens who legend stated were ghosts. Whether they were real ghosts is not known.
Physical appearance[]
They have purple skin, small upward pointing ears and a single eye with a red pupil. They also have long thin arms, a ridge on top of their heads and blue aura around them.
Personality[]
The Ancient Astronauts were very calm and matter of fact. They demonstrated a sense of humor by telling the Gang they were giving them a gift which turned out to be the villains all tied up.

- While the Gang and the villains all accept the stories and legends about the Ancient Astronauts being ghosts, the astronauts themselves do not do or say anything to confirm this fact. It is possible they are just very long lived, or have at times been in suspended animation.
- The astronauts can't be very intelligent, as Scooby is able to get their spaceship working in 6 seconds, while they had not been able to do so in the previous 6,000 years.
