History[]
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (DC Comics)[]
The ghost of Cordelia Fairheart was the disguise of Nelly Armstrong, who terrorized the flights she co-piloted. She and the other pilot, Wilbur Orville, wanted to sabotage the airline so they could terminate their contracts with Receding Airlines and work for another airline offering them more money. They based the disguise on aviator Cordelia Fairheart, notable for disappearing while trying to fly over the ocean. However, after the ghost attacked several flights, the airline owner, Mr. Sikorsky, asked Mystery Inc. to go undercover on a flight to investigate the attacks.
Nelly Armstrong unmasked.
The ghost first appeared in the aisles, threatening the crew to turn the plane around or the flight would be doomed. A flight attendant, Lindy, attempted to calm the passengers down by dismissing the ghost as a 3D movie. However, the ghost later attacked Scooby while he was trying to hide in the galley. The ghost chased Scooby down the aisle, causing him to accidentally inflate a life vest under a seat. When Shaggy popped the vest, it flew around the plane before hitting the ghost in the face, knocking off her mask. Armstrong was exposed for her crimes and handed to authorities when the plane landed.
