In a retelling of Charles Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Present was the disguise of Dr. Buggly, the doctor taking care of Ebenezer Scrooge.
Physical appearance[]
The Ghost of Christmas Present is a tall, greenish grey-skinned man with long brown hair and white sclera. He wore a green robe with white trimmings, a black belt with a gold buckle, a red robe underneath it, brown sandals and a green wreath with holly on it. He also sported a mustache and a beard.
Personality[]
The Ghost of Christmas Present was one of three ghosts that sought to show people the error of their ways, along with the Ghost of Christmas Past and Yet to Come. He would attack Mystery Inc. as a hostile monster, but communicated to to Velma and Scrooge to show them his true personality. This particular ghost sought to show them the consequences of their actions in the present; in Velma's case, consequences on herself, and in Scrooge's case, consequences on others.

Season two[]
The Ghost of Christmas Present was the disguise of Ebenezer Scrooge's doctor, Dr. Buggly. Buggly wanted to change Scrooge's selfish and miserly ways so he would pay for his clerk's son's medical treatment. The ghost attacked Mystery Inc. while they investigated Scrooge's home. However, he appeared to Scrooge through hypnosis, showing him the consequences of his selfish actions on others, namely his clerk, Bob Cratchit, and his ill son, Tiny Tim. However, as Buggly saw Velma as a threat, the Ghost of Christmas Present also appeared to Velma to discourage her from investigating, showing her missing the symposium that she wanted to speak at. Through the scene, the ghost hoped to show Velma that she was wasting her potential by investigating crimes with the gang. He later showed her Fred unknowingly discarding a valuable clue, showing Mystery Inc. was using Velma for her intellect.
The Ghost of Christmas Past was followed by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.

- In the original A Christmas Carol, the Ghost of Christmas Present was described as a "jolly Giant," a personification of the Christmas spirit. This version of the character is much more grim and aggressive than the original.
