The Ghost of Benjamin Franklin was the disguise of an unnamed impostor, to get money for endorsements.
Physical appearance[]
He resembled the real Benjamin Franklin, but with a ghostly blue aura.
Personality[]
He was relatively harmless, and kinda anxious about seeing the examples of modern day technology, which he later found remarkable and amazing compared to how it was back in his days.
History[]
Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]
He seemingly just appeared at the Independence Hall, but didn't cause any harm, but was instead anxious about seeing any examples of modern day technology. It later got the gang's involvement and they gladly showed him around the place and see the various changes, with the first being cars (formerly carriages and also needed horses to move them). Then there were the microwaves, which were faster at cooking food compared to the potbellied stove he invented, and then finally there were cellphones, which he (mistakenly) compared to the telegram.
Before they could show anything else, they were interrupted by his agent Willie Morris, who stopped the gang from having a freebie hangout with Benjamin Franklin and suggested by his rules that people should pay him money for the endorsement. Which was disrupted when Fred and the rest revealed they were mainly playing along and unmasked the ghost as an imposter.
Imposter unmasked.
Thanks to a slip up made by the imposter dressing as Ben's ghost, who mistakenly mentioned the telegram, which was created long after the real Benjamin Franklin died, and the two money endorsement scammers were arrested.
