Gatorsburg is a ghost town three miles away from Crystal Cove. Making their living from gator mines, gator wells, and gator-skin products, the town enjoyed great prosperity until the gators went extinct in the area. With the town economy depending entirely on alligators, it became almost completely abandoned.
History[]
Early history[]
During the sixteenth century, Porto tried to escape the rest of the Fraternitas Mysterium with a piece of the Planispheric Disk by going to the area that would later be known as Gatorsburg. However, Porto ended up being dragged away by the alligators that were already there, allowing Friar Gabriello Serra to take the piece back and hide it in a wheel of cheese, ensuring it would never be found.[1]

Gatorsburg during its glory days in the 1800s.
In the 1800s, prospectors searched for gold, but "struck alligator" instead. The town became rich with an alligator-based economy, making a fortune from selling gator-skin products. However, the gators eventually became extinct in the region, and the town's economy failed. The town became mostly abandoned, with Greta, Grady, and Gunther Gator being the only people who remained.[2]
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]
Season one[]
Mystery Inc. was led to Gatorsburg by Mr. E, but upon arriving, they lost the engine of their Mystery Machine, so they had to stay at the hotel where they were attacked by the Creeping Creatures. After they captured the Creeping Creatures, the three were arrested for making and selling counterfeit gator-skin products, presumably leaving the town completely abandoned.[2]
Season two[]
The gang visited a cemetery in Gatorsburg, where they found the grave of Señor Primero Llave.[3]
