The gargoyle was the disguise of Alberto or his accomplice.

Physical appearance[]

The gargoyle was an average-sized monster based on the sculptures seen in Gothic architecture. It was muscular, had grey skin, and had bat-like eyes and white horns. Its hands and feet were webbed and it also had bat-like wings, though it travelled on foot and did not fly. It wore very minimal clothing, being shirtless and wearing only a white loincloth. It also had black bracelets around its wrists, a headband, and necklace.

Personality[]

The gargoyle was a hostile monster that attacked its victims by chasing. It also terrorized its victims with a screeching laugh.

Skills and abilities[]

  • Assimilation: Resembling one of the statues in the graveyard, the gargoyle blended into its environment.

Season one[]

The gargoyle was a disguise presumably used by Alberto or his accomplice for an unknown purpose. It attacked Fred, Velma, and Daphne while they were investigating a thief's traces in the cemetery outside Phyllis Diller's mansion. Though the gargoyle was never unmasked by Mystery Inc., Alberto and his accomplice were nevertheless exposed for their crimes after being caught attempting to rob Diller's mansion.
