Early history[]
Mike's family owned a farm for five generations. His grandparents were buried on the farm.
Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright[]
During Emma's rehearsal for Talent Star, he and Meg spoke with Fred Jones and Daphne Blake (who were also competitors), revealing that they were going to use the prize money to pay the bank to keep their farm. When Make tried to relieve the tension, he asked the teens what they were going to buy, which only caused embarrassment for the two as they hadn't really put any thought into it. When it came time to the finals, it seemed Fred & Daphne would win, but the Gales still waved happily at them. They felt bad, so they threw the competition to give Emma more votes, thus saving the farm from closing.
