  • This episode is the third season premiere of What's New, Scooby-Doo?.
  • There is a reference to fellow Hanna-Barbera cartoon Snagglepuss, when Shaggy exclaims "Exit, stage right" whilst fleeing from the ghost.
  • Shaggy's ringtone is the series theme song tune.
  • Shaggy, Velma, Daphne & Fred wore the same rain attire from the movie, Scooby-Doo! And The Loch Ness Monster.
  • An approximation of the Creepy Keeper was included as a minifigure in a set in Lego's Scooby-Doo line - . Haunted Lighthouse, though he is identified only as Lighthouse Keeper and does not have a hat. The Lighthouse Keeper's identity as Verona Dempsey was confirmed in a video produced by Lego to promote the set. The set also includes a Swamp Monster that does not seem to have a specific analogue from the show.
