Fred Jones is the leader of Mystery Incorporated.
Physical appearance[]
Fred is a twenty-something year old, muscular man, with blonde hair and brown eyes. He likes to wear blue and white clothing with the occasional addition of a red ascot.
Personality[]
As the leader, Fred is always coming up with idea's for the traps, though most of the time they fail. He is constantly trying to make himself and the team look good, and because of this it seems like he has a big ego. He is always trying to act cool, especially around Daphne Blake, and he doesn't like seeing her hurt or in distress.
History[]
Early life[]
Fred grew up with the rest of the gang in Coolsville,[1] attending Coolsville High together.[2]
In their travels, they gained another member in Scooby-Doo's nephew, Scrappy-Doo, until they got sick of him and left him in the middle of the desert.[2]
Scooby-Doo: The Movie[]
The gang were hired to catch the Luna Ghost at the Wow-O Toy Factory. After the case was solved, Fred took credit in front of the press, which upset Velma, so she quit the group, as did Fred and Daphne, leaving Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo alone with the Mystery Machine.[2]

Fred often gets carried by his own ego generating disgust within the team
After his departure from Mystery Inc., Fred's public image began to decline and he decied to write a book based on his life, constantly participating in local geek conventions to publicize his book, although he failed to capture people's interest until two years later when he received an invitation from the owner of Spooky Island, Emile Mondavarious, requesting his presence to solve a mystery, to which he would accept unbeknownst to him, his old friends were also invited.
As soon as Fred arrived at the airport was quickly recognized by Velma Dinkley, both start a conversation in which Fred is very optimistic about his literary work: "Fred on Fred: The Many Faces of Me" while Velma tells him about her experience at NASA..... (a scrapped flashback that was intended to extend the scene reveals that they both lie to try to make a good impression on each other)

Their conversation is suddenly interrupted when they meet Daphne again while arguing with the airport receptionist about the excess luggage she was carrying with her; Fred seems to be happy with the brief reunion, however, as soon as Daphne recognized them, she was hysterical, claiming an injustice because they were also invited to the island Daphne assures both that she alone can handle the mystery without their help, they are incredulous even Fred questions what she plans to do when she is kidnapped to which Daphne declares that she learned martial arts for her defense. Shaggy appears on the scene with Scooby trying to convince the three to reunify Mystery Inc. to which they refuse, telling him that they are there on their own, then they board the plane that will take them to Spooky Island after being greeted in person by Emile Mondavarious , who quickly informs them about the case, causing the gang to become quite competitive to look for clues, however, Fred spent the time rambling without success until he followed Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby to an old abandoned park attraction.
With everyone gathered in that place for rather ambiguous reasons, Fred assumes the leadership, telling them that they will split up to investigate like in the old days, only this time he will accompany Velma, allowing Daphne to investigate on her own, pairing Shaggy and Scooby again..... Fred does not know what topic of conversation to establish with Velma, spoiling their conversation when the apparently abandoned attraction is activated, cornering them, looking for a way out, both discover a secret anteroom where they found it a monitoring set, believing that the tourists are subjected to some brainwashing process, however, an alarm sounds and they are forced to escape, managing to evade the island's employees, determined to show him the evidence that they found ( a strange object called it the daemon ritus ) to Emile Mondavarious who was in the main hall of the hotel where the tourists were staying they warned him about two potential suspects, including him as well, those night the hotel was invaded by demons Fred and Velma were captured, forcing the rest of the gang to hide and resume the investigation later the next morning.
Daphne became the leader of the team temporarily to try to search for Fred and Velma, sending Shaggy and Scooby to find him, however Fred acts strangely; completely unconcerned and unable to recognize them after hearing an unnatural scream from an unknown direction, Fred reveals that he has been possessed by a demon and orders the other possessed tourists to catch them, however, Shaggy and Scooby were able to flee without mishap thanks to some ATVs they found in a utility room. When Shaggy fell through a false hatch he discovered a network of caves under Spooky Island and coincidentally found a large cauldron containing all the souls of the tourists including those of Mystery Inc. After being guided by the voice of Velma Dinkley, Shaggy begins to release the souls of his friends one by one until he finds the spirit of Fred who was paranoid and confused under these circumstances, Shaggy he mentions that his protoplasm is disgusting but Fred still boasts of being handsome, Shaggy immediately releases him so that he can recover his true body..... on the way, Fred's spirit manages to identify his body in the hotel pavilions, mentioning how difficult it is to manage his state as a soul, when he manages to get close enough, he crashes into the door of a room that his recently possessed self entered, causing Fred's spirit to lose control and drift outwards.

Fred trying to retrieve his original body
Velma intercepted Daphne's body at the service entrance of Spooky Island when she noticed that a "wandering soul" was approaching the place, she believed that it was the redhead, so distracted it the "fake Daphne" to distance herself from other possessed tourists and locked her in a room next to the pavilion, the "wandering soul" arrived at the room and entered Daphne's body through his mouth pushing her against an armchair
