Franklin Fruitmeir is the owner and namesake of a restaurant and dessert in Crystal Cove. He does not know what his dessert is made from, but says it is not ice cream or yogurt.
Physical appearance[]
Fruitmeir resembles a clown. He has purple hair and wears a dessert hat. He also wears a fake green balloon-like nose, a white and green shirt under a white apron, green pants, and a green tie.
Personality[]
Fruitmeir is very happy and nice to people who visit his restaurant. He seems to spend a lot of time making things from balloons such as shrimping boats and clipper boats. He was frightened when he saw the Slime Mutant.

Early life[]
According to Velma Dinkley's research, Franklin Fruitmeir came to Crystal Cove two months before the Slime Mutant attacks began. She was unable to find any information about him prior to that time.
Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated[]
Season one[]
Franklin Fruitmeir operated a popular dessert shop called Fruitmeir's. After Scooby-Doo and Shaggy determined that the green substance given of by the Slime Mutant was the same as his namesake dessert, Mystery Incorporated suspected him of being the Slime Mutant and sent Shaggy and Scooby undercover at his restaurant. After the Slime Mutant was caught, Fruitmeir surprised Mystery Inc. when he arrived with Mayor Jones and Sheriff Stone, having called them after the Slime Mutant triggered the restaurant's alarm.

- Despite only appearing in the first episode, his restaurant is seen or mentioned several times after, usually becoming collateral damage from a monster attack.
- In the adaptation of the episode for Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Crystal Cove Online, he is omitted. The player is rewarded a trophy of Franklin Fruitmeir if he/she rides on the Mystery Machine.
