Story Blurb[]

Scooby and the gang are excited for Valentine's Day. But all of their valentines are missing! Did a ghost take their valentines or does Scooby have a secret admirer? It's a case only Scooby can solve.

Synopsis[]

Anticipating Valentine's Day, Scooby and the gang are disappointed to find their mail box empty. The mailman is confused as to what happened to their mail. Shaggy and Scooby fear a ghost took the mail. The mailman drives them to Mrs. Feldman's house, where he was chased by a dog with a red bow. The gang find empty candy wrappers on Mrs. Feldman's lawn. There is a trail of spilled mail leading across the street to Mr. Peterson's fence. Scooby eats the candy he picks up from this trail. Then he finds Mr. Peterson's dog Rosie in the midst of a pile of valentines and candy, with a mail sack around her neck. The pile contains Shaggy's box of chocolates from his cousin Jennifer, flowers and a card from Fred and Daphne's friend Julia, a teddy bear for Velma from her aunt Susan, and a card for Scooby. But Scooby is disappointed that his Scooby Snacks are not present. Rosie brings out a Snacks box for Scooby, who declares it the best Valentine's Day ever.

Characters (directly appearing)[]

Characters (referenced only)[]

  • Mrs. Feldman
  • Mr. Peterson
  • Jennifer (Shaggy's cousin)
  • Julia (friend of Fred and Daphne)
  • Susan (aunt of Velma)

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities[]

  • The trail of lost mail between the Feldman and Peterson homes is so huge and obvious, that it beggars credibility that none of the characters noticed it before the plot acknowledged it.
  • The characters are all inexplicably forgiving of Rosie, who damaged myriad pieces of mail.
  • Most of the mail is presumably for other town residents, which goes unacknowledged.
