Premise[]
The Ghastleys have been haunted by the ghost of their Great Uncle Spookly. Now the ghost is gone, and they want Mystery Inc. to find him and bring him back.
Synopsis[]
Mystery Inc. visits the house of the Ghastleys, an eccentric family that scares Shaggy. The Ghastleys claim that the ghost of Great Uncle Spookly has disappeared, and they need Mystery Inc. to find him. They split up, but Shaggy and Scooby search the playroom, they find a dragon, scaring them back to Fred's group. Running to the attic, they find the ghost standing there, which scares them back downstairs. Velma goes in to investigate, but does not find the ghost. However, they create a plan to catch the ghost.
Fred disguises himself as the ghost and watches as the Ghastley's neighbour, Mr. Snooty, sneaks into the attic. When he sees the ghost, he begs for his life and confesses he disguised himself as the ghost to scare the Ghastleys away, no longer wanting to live next to them. However, the Ghastleys did not fear the ghost and were quite amused by Snooty's stunt, wanting to befriend him, though Snooty runs away in terror. The Ghastleys express their disappointment in learning the ghost was fake, but reveals there are other, real ghosts living in the house.
