Scoobypedia

The Faceless Rider was a ghostly horseback-figure who had been terrorizing the town of Los Burritos.

Physical appearance[]

Hence the name, the ghost lacked a face minus a pair of glowing green eyes. He wore a black cowboy hat along with a shirt with purple sleeves, large pants, boots, gloves and a long purple cape. His horse he rode on was dark grey in appearance, if not black, sporting a pair of glowing green eyes like its rider, and a vicious scowl.

Personality[]

Not much is known about the Faceless Rider. All that is known is that he appeared in Los Burritos one day, and scares anyone in the ghost town away while he buries the stolen gold taken by the Brick in the Wall Gang in the past in one of the old graves in Boot Hill Cemetery to dig up later once the town is completely devoid of people.

History[]

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Adventures[]

The Faceless Rider appeared recently in Los Burritos scaring off anyone in town, including archeologists that are excavating the town for historical artifacts and other treasures to take back to preserve in a museum. When Mystery, Inc. arrives in town in the Mystery Machine while attempting to stop for food and directions, the Faceless Rider attempts to scare them off as they learn about the town's history and meet those few residents that are still there, including the prospector Gummi Bayer with his donkey Dolores, Professor Artie Fackt, who was there with his archeologist class, which included I.C. Double, the paparazzi reporter Jenny Lariat, and the sheriff from the county C El Cinco, Chuck D. Wagon. As Mystery, Inc. collect clues regarding the Faceless Rider, all the while some of the clues point to one of the five people in Los Burritos they've met while in town, they soon spot the Faceless Rider from the saloon/hotel as he was burying another of the gold ingots in Boot Hill Cemetery. When they find the grave he was digging at and Scooby unearths the ingot, washing it off in the trough back outside the sheriff's office, they soon discover it to be one of the ingots the Brick In The Wall Gang stole. At that moment, the Faceless Rider appears on his horse, looking for retribution for digging up his loot in the cemetery. While Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby flee, Fred manages to lasso and capture the Faceless Rider, yanking him off his horse for them to de-mask and see who has been terrorizing the ghost town all this time.

Possible endings[]

Artie Fackt[]

Artie discovered the gold and wanted to steal all of it for himself. By using the disguise to scare people away, including his own students, and also using an 1001 escape tricks book to fool people into thinking the Faceless Rider caught him to throw off suspicion.

Jenny Lariat[]

Jenny used the disguise to create a story to send to the public, while also trying to steal the gold as a meaning of getting rich.

Chuck D. Wagon[]

The greedy sheriff of El Cinco, Chuck D. Wagon, wore the disguise of the Faceless Rider to scare people away so he could steal all of the Brick in the Wall gang's hidden gold for himself.

I.C. Double[]

Irving discovered the gold the Brick in the Wall gang left behind and used the Faceless Rider disguise to frighten away visitors, and the students of his archeology class, while also kidnapping Artie Fackt and trapping Jenny so he could take the gold, hide it on Boot Hill, and then sneak it out of town just to claim to be the richest graduate student.

Gummy Bayer[]

Gummy wore the disguise and had his donkey named Dolores dress as the ghost horse to scare people away so they both could get the gold and later buy a trip to a perfect paradise.
