Dr. Trebla was a scientist that worked for Dr. Phineus Phibes. In reality, he was secretly Dr. Albert Shaggleford in disguise.

Trebla was a middle aged man, with black hair. He wears a lab coat over a light blue shirt and red bowtie, grey pants and sneakers. His appearance resembles Julius Kelp (Jerry Lewis from The Nutty Professor).

Under this disguise, he's Phibes's most loyal confidant.

- He chose a rather obvious alias, since "Trebla" is "Albert" spelled backwards, but Phibes never caught on until he revealed himself. There are also clues hinting to his real identity:
- In the season 1 finale, Dr. Phibes' laser gun was placed right in front of Dr. Trebla's name-sign, reflecting it.
- In the next episode, his wig slightly fell off, revealing his ponytail.
