Messmer is an elderly man with long, white hair and a mustache. He wears a white lab coat over a blue dress shirt, as well as brown pants, white socks, and black shoes.
Personality[]
Doctor Messmer is man dedicated to science, working to ensure that his experimental transplant be a success. As such, when eight monsters endangered the passengers on a train, Messmer refused to stop the train early as doing so would result in the transplant failing. He was delighted by Daphne's interest in the human body, helping her in an experiment to heighten her senses, but later turned on her after the conductor implicated her in various crimes.

Season two[]
Messmer worked to transport medical supplies by train for an experimental nostril surgery, including the nostril itself. However, eight different monsters began to terrorize the train, harming innocent passengers in the process. Despite this, Messmer refused to stop the train, as the nostril would die if it were not transported to its final destination in time. He showed the transplant to Mystery Inc. as they investigated the monsters, explaining to them why the train cannot stop. Upon her request, Messmer gave Daphne a medical-grade nose plug for her to block her sense of smell to heighten her other senses. However, he confiscated the nose plug after the conductor detained Mystery Inc., accusing them of disrupting the train.
After the train arrived at its final destination, Messmer immediately left the train to perform the surgery.
