Dogbot is a robotic dog created by Velma Dinkley.
Physical appearance[]
Dogbot is a large metal dog-like robot with a dark, sharply pointed nose. It had yellow eyes, sharp teeth, a red collar-like detail around its neck, and a pointed tail.
Personality[]
Dogbot is a robot that possesses many of the behaviours shared by dogs. It can show affection, as it licked Elliott Blender's face when Velma gave it to him. However, according to Velma, Dogbot is incapable of fear, as it fearlessly rescues Shaggy from a police chase. It acts as an assistant, using its various features to assist its owner in need.
Powers and abilities[]
- Robotic features: As a robot, Dogbot has been equipped with numerous features, including but not limited to:
- sharp teeth which can chew through chains.
- a portable bed.
- a popcorn maker.
- a bicycle.
- a rickshaw.
- a shield which protects both itself and its owner.
- Weight resistance: In addition, Dogbot is capable of withstanding an incredible amount of weight. Not only can it easily carry a human on its rickshaw, but it was seemingly unharmed after the 30-foot Shaggy stepped on its rickshaw.
History[]
What's New, Scooby-Doo?[]
Season two[]
Dogbot was created by Velma for an invention competition, winning Velma and Mystery Inc. a trip to Tokyo to present the invention to Dr. Akira Onodera. However, while there, Velma's teacher, Professor Pomfrit, secretly controlled Dogbot to assist him in his crimes as the 30-Foot Shaggy. As Dogbot was manipulated without Mystery Inc.'s knowledge, Dogbot accompanied the group as they attempted to investigate the crime. After Pomfrit's arrest, Velma gave Dogbot to her classmate, Elliott Blender, since the robot was the only dog he was not allergic to.[1]
Appearances[]
Notes/trivia[]

- A different robotic dog, Robopup, tried to sabotage Mystery Inc in the Pup Named Scooby-Doo episode of the same name.
- A similar robotic dog, Dogbot, is also used in another show, Krypto The Superdog.
