Disappearing Car Caper is the first part of the ninth episode of The Scooby & Scrappy Doo Puppy Hour, later repackaged as the first part of the ninth episode of the third season of Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (second series).

Premise

The guys are on a stake out at Abbot's Car Lot to catch Pistons McGee, a car thief. The guys come to find out how he has been shrinking the cars with a shrinking ray gun and taking them back to his shop, but the guys accidentally get shrunk too.

Synopsis

Shaggy, Scooby, Scrappy have been tipped off by Fearless Shagaford that Pistons McGee, the car thief, will strike next at Abbot's Car Lot. They try and act incognito by putting a for sell sign in the Mystery Machine, while waiting for Pistons to show up. Shaggy has brought along some food for them to eat, which puts them all into a slumber right at the time Pistons shows up and uses his shrinking ray gun on the Mystery Machine and all the other cars in the lot.

He takes them back to his hideout, an abandoned gas station. He toys with the guys' miniature size, who make a break for it, but are in danger of being crushed while in their van. They leave the van and head into a hole, but they become the uninvited guests of a vicious rat. They duck into its cheese and high tail it out of their, with the rat only managing to head butt them out of its hole. They make a trap for Pistons with oil and then tie him up.

They bring all the cars, still in miniature form, back to their office, where Fearless has showed up in the flesh to witness their success, until Scooby innocently uses the shrinking ray on the cars to return them to their original size, all smashing out the front of the building.
