The Darrington Estate was the home of famous director Sessel D. Darrington, located in Hollywood Hills.
History[]
Early history[]
The estate was built in 1921 by Sessel D. Darrington, a movie mogul from the Golden Age of Hollywood. When Sessel passed away, his only known child, Darla, inherited the house but became a recluse, living only in the hidden areas of the mansion. As such, as Darla was never seen by the public for another thirty years, the mansion appeared abandoned to visitors.
Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]
Season one[]
As the mansion appeared uninhabited, the county government attempted to auction the property off. Actor George Takei instead wanted the house marked a historic location, so he hired a private detective to identify its owner. However, land developer Sam Shehahn and Takei's gardener, Jimmy, both attempted to acquire the house for themselves, with the latter resorting to fraud and posing as the ghost of Duke Doombringer. After Takei and the gang's investigation solved the mystery, Darla Darrington was revealed as the estate's rightful owner and her home was registered as a historic landmark.
