Crubeens and Farl is a piece of verse primarily spoken by Shaggy, Scooby and Salomon in the Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! episode Giant Problems. On each encounter when Salomon tries to convince Shaggy and Scooby to eat Irish food they speak in verse, reminiscent of the Dr Seuss book Green Eggs and Ham. The title is assumed as it was not included in the episode's credits.
Lyrics[]
Salomon:
Welcome, I'm Salomon, the Balleyhall cook,
I've prepared authentic Irish delicacies, here have a look.
Shaggy:
Like thanks, I bet you heard our stomachs growl.
Salomon:
I did, so feast upon Crubeens and Farl!
(Shaggy and Scooby recoil)
Why the whimper, why the snarl?
Shaggy:
We do not like Crubeens and Farl.
Salomon:
But you haven't even had a taste
Do not let it go to waste.
(Scooby gulps)
Shaggy:
Run!
Salomon:
If you eat it you will see
Crubeens fill you full of glee.
Shaggy:
I don't want any.
Scooby:
I also want none.
Shaggy:
Don't make us eat it, please Salomon.
Salomon:
Try them dressed up as a knight.
shaggy:
I'll just put up a bigger fight
Salomon:
I don't see why we must quarrel.
Shaggy:
We don't like crubeens
Scooby:
We don't like farl
- - -

Here's your crubeens and farl too
Shaggy:
What part of "Yuck's" unclear to you?
Salomon:
You'll love it if you just submit
Velma:
(Sighs) I need subtitles for this bit.
Salomon: (pursuing Shaggy and Scooby)
Crubeens and farl to feed upon
Shaggy:
We hoped that you had thought we'd gone!
Salomon:
Try some with this leprechaun
Leprechaun:
I will not be your denouement.
Shaggy:
That's alright
Scooby:
We gotta jet
Salomon:
I'll get those two to try this yet!
- - -
Shaggy: (after parts of the castle are demolished by the giant)
We deserve crubeens and farl to eat.
Scooby:
Take that back
Shaggy:
I admit defeat
- - -
Salomon:
Now my friends, time for one bite?
Shaggy:
I'm weak from hunger, so why fight?
Salomon:
Once you try some, you will see
Crubeens and farl will set you free.
(He shoves it in their mouths and they chew)
Does it not make you taste buds whirl?
Shaggy:
Excuse us now, we have to hurl.
Salomon:
No good?
