After sliding across the factory on jawbreakers, Shaggy crashes into a machine he believes to be "pretty hard" for something that makes cotton candy. As he pulls himself up, he grabs a lever on the machine that causes it to ooze green goo onto him, making him appear to be one of the Green Globs.

- Though at first it's only known to be a cotton candy machine because Shaggy identifies it as such, in the next shot the machine can be seen in the background with a sign that labels it.
- It's unclear how this machine makes cotton candy, or a mixture to be used for cotton candy, considering cotton candy is made by sugar crystals being spun into floss, not by globs of anything.
- As the monsters are referred to as Green Globs and appear to be made of a green goo and not cotton candy, it's this machine and Shaggy's interaction with it that reveal the monsters to actually be "Cotton Candy Globs."
