Chives was the butler of Clifton Montgomery.
Physical appearance[]
Chives is an old man with side spiked gray hair and a long nose. His regular clothes weren't shown do to mostly hiding in shadow, and later in costume as Ward Montgomery's ghost.
Personality[]
When he was caught he made a false appeal to gain sympathy, that he wanted to stay in the castle since it was the only home he knew. This almost got Clift to drop the charges until Velma Dinkley revealed the secret of the treasure.
