Caveman on the Half-Pipe! is the ninth episode of season 2 of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, and the thirty-fifth overall.
Premise[]
At a ski resort, Shaggy and Scooby are saved from an avalanche of their own making by Chloe Kim. The avalanche uncovers a frozen caveman who is soon thawed and terrorizing the resort.
Synopsis[]
The members of Mystery Inc. go on a skiing trip in the mountains, but when Shaggy and Scooby ski down the slope, their screams cause an avalanche. Though celebrity snowboarder Chloe Kim rescued them, they discover that the avalanche has uncovered a caveman frozen in a block of ice. The caveman is brought to a freezer in the hotel. However, the hotel owner, wanting to close the hotel, is dissatisfied with the publicity the discovery will give him. In the night, while Mystery Inc. is sleeping in their bedrooms, an unseen suspect places a heat lamp in front of the caveman, melting the ice.
Shaggy, Scooby, and Chloe Kim awaken late at night and sneak downstairs for food. However, they find that the caveman is nowhere in the freezer, the ice having been melted. The caveman, having come to life, attacks them from behind, chasing them upstairs, and awakening Daphne, Fred, and Velma. The caveman chases Mystery Inc. out of the resort, where the group finally escapes his pursuit by riding a luggage cart out the window.
Returning to the freezer to investigate, Velma notes a glove print on the ice. The ski instructor, watching the investigation, suspects Chad and Thad, two immature teenagers working for the ski patrol. They then travel to the ski patrol building to investigate further, finding a bulletin board of photos depicting former ski patrol members. However, the caveman appears once more, chasing them out of the building and forcing them to ski down a slope. Scooby accidentally crashes into a sack of mail buried deep in the snow, which Velma collects as evidence.
Velma confirms that the mail sack came from the Boxing Billy Bluebird, a mail airplane that crashed into the mountains in 1948. According to Velma's research, the wreckage was never found but contained invaluable bearer bonds. They decide to venture into the mountains to search for the aircraft. While skiing down a steep slope, Shaggy accidentally crashes into the plane, locating it. Mystery Inc. finds the bearer bonds inside, but are attacked by the caveman.
The caveman chases Mystery Inc. on top of the plane, but repeatedly strikes the airplane with his club, triggering an avalanche. The avalanche carries the airplane down the mountain and tears off its tail with the caveman, Shaggy, and Scooby riding on it. Chloe Kim rescues Shaggy and Scooby, sending them flying into the main aircraft with Fred, Daphne, and Velma. The airplane continues to slide towards the ski resort, but stops safely just before it touches the building, narrowly avoiding a collision. Meanwhile, Kim snowboards on a half-pipe while carrying the airplane tail on a rope, wrapping around the caveman and tying him to the tail fin, capturing him.
The ski instructor was revealed to be the caveman, who was on a mission to find the bearer bonds linked to the Boxing Billy Bluebird. Under the cover of darkness, he snuck into the freezer, retrieved the frozen caveman, and hid it in his lodge. Disguising himself as a caveman, he attempted to scare people away from his criminal activities. However, Velma's detective skills led her to match an old glove print on the ice to the ski instructor, who was also identified as a ski patrol member many years ago from a photo on the bulletin board. After the authorities take the ski instructor into custody, Mystery Inc. and Chloe Kim returns to the slopes for a ski trip. Meanwhile, Shaggy and Scooby stumbles upon a frozen woolly mammoth.

- When Mystery Inc. finds the frozen Caveman, Daphne claims that their situation is oddly familiar. This is a reference to the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! episode Scooby's Night with a Frozen Fright, also involving an identical-looking caveman frozen in ice. They also solved a case with a frozen Ice Man in the Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! episode Naughty or Ice.

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities[]
- In his main suspect appearances, the ski instructor is seen with light brown hair. However, while he is teaching children, his hair colour changes to blond.
- When Mystery Inc. first finds the Boxing Billy Bluebird, the aircraft is covered in snow, with only some parts uncovered. However, when they later climb on top of the plane, it is completely uncovered.
