Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]
The Ruby of the Nile was kept in the British Museum, where it was stolen by an unnamed jewel thief. Posing as an antiques dealer, he used a secret passageway in the store's basement and hid the ruby in a cat statuette to be sold overseas, but the statuette was unknowingly sold by his assistant to comedian Ricky Gervais. This prompted him to create the cat mummy disguise, based on the ancient goddess Bast, to terrorize Gervais into returning the statuette with the ruby. His plan failed, however, and the thief was captured and arrested for his crimes.
