Scoobypedia
This article is about the character from DC Comics' Scooby-Doo story Whodunit? For other uses, see Captain (disambiguation).

The captain was a suspect in Albert Perrson's disappearance.

Physical appearance[]

The captain is a tall man with brown hair, a mustache, and a beard. As his title suggests, he wears a ship captain's outfit consisting of a grey cap with a black visor, a white turtleneck sweater over a yellow double-breasted raincoat with epaulettes, blue pants, and a blue boot. He has a peg as a prosthetic replacing his right shin.

Personality[]

Like the other suspects, the captain was highly suspicious of the other five guests at Persson's mansion. When Persson disappeared, the captain and the other suspects immediately suspected each other of foul play, even though none of them had ever seen Persson. When Frau Weiss suspected the captain, he pointed to another suspect to ward suspicion off himself. However, all six of them neglected to search the bathroom, where Persson was staying, unharmed.

History[]

Scooby-Doo (DC Comics)[]

The captain was invited to Persson's mansion along with five other suspects, but they became concerned when Persson never arrived. They immediately suspected each other of foul play. Later, when Mystery Inc. stopped at the mansion because Shaggy needed to use the bathroom, they began investigating. The captain admitted to not liking Persson very much, which the other suspects found suspicious. Frau Weiss suspected the captain, having spotted him in the ballroom with a Nettleton Colt revolver, but the captain claimed he found it there and was intrigued by it. He shifted suspicion to the reverend, having seen him in the lounge with a candlestick.

Despite this, all six suspects were found innocent after Mystery Inc. found Persson unharmed in the upstairs bathroom, as he had been there for hours as the internet was strongest there. The suspects admitted they never looked there before deeming him missing.

Trivia[]

  • As this comic is based on the Clue board game (called Cluedo outside North America), the captain is based on one of the suspects, Colonel Mustard.
