Boothville is a small town named for Milo Booth, a famous silent film actor who was also buried there.
The Scooby-Doo Show
The Phantom of Milo Booth side-tracked the gang to this town, so they could see a tomb he had re-labeled as Milo's was empty, and hopefully be convinced the ghost was real. He was not expecting the exposure of his Scooby-Dee impostor. When that happened, he tried to trap them in the tomb.
