The Bookworm was the disguise of Bonnie.
Physical appearance[]
It was a giant gray and white worm.
Personality[]
It was both a hostile and hungry worm who mainly had an appetite to books, and scares anyone who gets in their way.
History[]
Scooby-Doo's Super Case Book[]
The Bookworm was described to the gang by Velma's Aunt Dolores, who says that various kids that came to check out old books at the stacks saw it wriggling around on the shelves and ran away scared. When she and the others went to check, there were only some leftover pieces of crumbled paper and books missing from their spots.
It later snuck up and startled Scooby and Shaggy, except for Velma as she managed to figure out who was responsible. The Bookworm was unmasked and revealed to be Bonnie, the former owner of the library who later started her own bookstore, she wanted to make Dolores proud of her owning the store, but couldn't make business go well and resorted to trying to scare away library goers and steal rare books for her to sell at her bookstore, and the Bookworm supposedly "lunching" on the pieces of paper were really just from the usage of a hole puncher that she recently brought back after almost forgetting weeks ago.
Bonnie was forgiven for her actions and Dolores thought it would be nice to give her old job back.
