Scooby feigns a broken leg because he doesn't want to enter the cave.
A body cast is a shell, frequently made of plaster or bandages, designed to encase and hold together a limb with a broken bone (or bones) until healing is confirmed. It is usually placed around the foot, and a lot of the time the injury is, in fact, fake.
History[]
Scooby-Doo, Where Are You![]
Season one[]
When Scooby-Doo was elected the most suitable to check out Fu Lan Chi's cave, which they thought may had been the home of the Snow Ghost, he feigned sickness by rolling on a hospital bed, with one of his legs in a cast, which was suspended in the air. In response, Shaggy Rogers yanked it backwards, making him fall off (also losing his leg cast in the process).[1]
