Season one[]

Shaggy disguised as Bob Miller

Shaggy disguised as Bob Miller.

After a string of local dognappings, the gang questioned one of the victims, Buck Masters, who decided to offer a reward for the return of his dog instead of paying the ransom. He told them that he warned Bob Miller, another show dog owner, and that Miller had assured him that he would only walk his dog in the evenings near the police station on Beach Boulevard.

Fred devised a plan to find the dognappers using Scooby as a decoy for Miller's Great Dane and Shaggy standing in for Miller himself. During a walk that evening, the ruse fooled the dognapper perfectly. The gang tracked Scooby and the dognapper through a transmitter hidden in his collar that connected to the direction finder in the Mystery Machine.

Notes/trivia[]

  • It is not known if Scooby's fancy collar and Shaggy's trench coat and hat were borrowed from Bob Miller or if they were just plausible disguises used by the gang for their ruse.
  • Buck Masters and Bob Miller have the same initials.
