Remember, Lillard himself said that he was really "in" to the role. At the time, he wasn't putting his full effort into it, and if he was, I think he would've been a lot better. Also, Lillard looks more like Shaggy to me, they didn't even dye Palatas' hair to match his cartoon counterpart. Also, that movie was terrible. Scooby-Doo was pretty good in my opinion, I can't say anything about Scooby-Doo 2 , since that was pretty bad, but the original Scooby-Doo was great! Plus, he was the actual Shaggy at the time! Even though he wasn't putting his all into it, you could definitly tell he had a better voice. I do have to agree that Palatas gave more heart, and the "heart" that Lillard gave was pretty terrible, but I've never liked any relationships Shaggy was ever in anyways. The character shouldn't be in romantic relationships, unless it's going to be a fact in all of the shows and movies and stuff, like if his relationship with Velma in MI stay consistant.
