History[]
It was on display at the Beach Front Hotel lobby. It was used by Morgan the Magician for a magic trick but he wanted to steal it. He swapped the pearl for a glass ball earlier and made the fake pearl shatter into dust with a tuning fork. He hid the real pearl in his robe until after the show. He disguised himself as the Ghost of the Great Haldane and did a projection for an alibi so ghost would be blamed for the Pearl theft.
Velma used a fake black pearl to trick the Ghost of the Great Haldane into being captured. He had put the real pearl into a case of his under a false bottom of a drawer. When Velma's trap failed, Scrappy, Scooby and Shaggy managed to get the pearl away from him and trap him in a new trap.
