Scooby-Doo Readers[]
It had apparently scared away campers do to it's legend, and was claimed to be somewhere in the area, according to Jasper, the owner of Keepaway Camp. It hides in the darkest corners of the woods during the day, and wanders the campgrounds at night looking for food.
Later, after a brief thunderstorm, the Sasquatch itself was discovered outside near Shaggy and Scooby's tent, and attacked them. The rest of the gang woke up to the noise and they all ran from the monster and hid in the bushes, and it ran off into the woods after the rain came down, weirdly trying to avoid getting wet.
The gang followed the creatures footprints the following morning and found a cave filled with dark rocks and empty paint cans.
It later attacked them back at the camp when they were checking out a truck filled with diamonds painted to look like rocks, and instantly lost them when they hid in the tool shed.
A couple minutes after discovering mining tools. Fred put a plan in motion, which involved Scooby and Shaggy taking a bag of the painted diamonds from the cave to lead Bigfoot out. It ended up working as the creature ran after the two and to the lake, where they hopped across a row of boats to a nearby park. Fred and the girls untied the row and pushed them away from the shore to prevent it from retreating, which it finally noticed when reaching the top of a waterslide, and had no choice but to slide down and crash into the water.

Hank unmasked.
The large beast emerges from the lake, and do to the water, it's muddy face washes off revealing the employee of Keepaway Camp, Hank. He made a discovery of diamonds in a cave nearby the camp and painted them to look like rocks, and then sneak them out of the place to keep them for himself.
After his arrest, Jasper used the diamonds to buy stuff to rebuild the camp.
