Ben Raleigh was an American songwriter and composer. Raleigh wrote the music to the theme song to Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, while David Mook wrote the lyrics.[1] Although not credited the entire time the series aired between 1969 and 1970, it wasn't until 1998 with the first direct-to-video film, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, did they finally receive on-screen credit for the first time. Although they also received credit shortly before that in Scooby-Doo's Snack Tracks: The Ultimate Collection.
He died from a kitchen fire in his home in 1997, at the age of 83.
