After Velma revealed his methods of doing so, Christian Slater explained to Mystery Inc. his motives for disguising himself as a werewolf and destroying his high school prom. According to Slater, he destroyed the event to avoid dancing with fellow classmate Maryanne Mulrooney. After his confession, Slater apologized to Mulrooney, who accepted his apology and danced with him.
