Needed: Synopsis.

Bear-ly Scared is the single story of Scooby-Doo! Team-Up #35, by DC Comics.

Premise

A ghost frames Yogi Bear in stealing picnic baskets he didn't take, which guarantees he will be shipped off to Poughkeepsie Zoo. It's a good thing Mystery Inc. have come at the right time to the park, so they can clear his name.

Full credits

The following credits try to match how they are displayed in the comic as much as possible:

Notes/trivia

  • It's implied Shorty Biggs pulls out a gun on the good guys, which happened on occasion in the Yogi Bear shorts, but due to growing censorship, it's only shown from the back of Biggs, with the good guys' scared reaction.
  • This issue marks Yogi Bear's first appearance in a comic book since Cartoon Network Presents #22 nineteen years earlier.

Miscellaneous

Cultural references

  • Yogi, Boo Boo, and Ranger Smith were the main characters of Yogi Bear shorts in The Huckleberry Hound Show and The Yogi Bear Show, before the spin-offs of sequel series, movies, and specials.

Coloring mistakes

  • None known.

Inconsistencies/continuity errors and/or goofs/oddities

  • The DTV film Scooby-Doo! Mask of the Blue Falcon envisions everything that Hanna-Barbera has produced as being fictional to Scooby-Doo's world. On the other hand, from the beginning of the Yogi cartoons, he was self aware of himself being a TV star.
