Season one[]
Formerly part of a kuroko (in all-black) puppet troupe in Japan, Bozzington sought a way to gain fame as a ventriloquist elsewhere. To gain the recognition of celebrity ventriloquists Jeff Dunham and Darci Lynne Farmer, he hosted a charity ventriloquist competition with the prize being the dummy Crazy Karl. Rigging Karl with robotics combined with his advanced puppetry skills, he made the doll appear to come to life, terrorizing the event. This also protected the doll from being stolen by an old lady and her son who collected dolls. Bozzington was first seen meeting with Mystery Inc., who was responsible for escorting Karl to the event.
Bozzington later helped bring Mystery Inc., Dunham and Farmer to the motel. However, when an old lady and her son threatened to steal Walter and Petunia, Bozzington arrived to help them escape the location. Finally, Bozzington decided to physically puppet Crazy Karl and attack Shaggy and Scooby, dressed in all-black to avoid being seen. However, he fell into a trap prepared by Mystery Inc.; the stage lights were turned on, revealing Bozzington, and he was then captured and unmasked. Bozzington succeeded in gaining the praise of Dunham and Farmer, who declared him the winner of the competition, but he was nevertheless handed over to authorities.
