Bacon was the first character out of the trans-dimensional DVD that Dr. Phineus Phibes tested on Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo.
He was from a trailer for a "cute" animal movie before the main monster movie attraction. He hated his role and the farmer in the show he was in, not wanting to go back, so he was unwilling to help them rewind the movie, even though it would save their lives.
