Attack of the 8-Foot Amphibian! is the first out of two stories in Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? #112. It was followed by the reprint, Creature Feature.

Premise[]

The gang head out to the drive-in for a fun night on creature feature Friday. However, things take a turn for the worse when the movies monster steps off the screen and onto the drive-ins parking lot.

Notes/Trivia[]

This is the second DC Comics story about a haunted cinema in Coolsville after "Creature Feature". There the drive-in cinema was called "Moonlight Drive-In".
Almost all of the side-characters are reused characters from previous Scooby Doo-series/movies and other Hanna Barbera-series, such as the Sheriff who's based upon the Sheriff from Nowhere to Hyde from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, the family in the car looking like Alejo and Sofia Otero, as well their two kids looking like Natalia and Sebastian from Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico, the drive-in movie theater owner looks like Clem Duncan and the Coolsville Drive-in employee looking like Dottie from Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders with a different skin color and color pallet. One of the costumers looks like a fatter version of Fred Jones.
