- Although he did appear in The Toys from Tomorrow, the story in Laff-a-Lympics #11, his scenes were only in the future and don't affect the present day scenes.
- How Astro shows his affection towards George is similar to how Dino shows his affection towards Fred Flintstone.
- Jane comments on how Astro and Scooby-Doo soundalike; this is because in their respective cartoons, they were both voiced by Don Messick (future incarnations would be also both be voiced by Frank Welker).
