The assayer wanted to con prospectors into buying land for gold that was just pyrite.
Physical appearance[]
The assayer is an elderly man with receding white hair, glasses and a green hat. He wore a white shirt with a bolo tie and black cuffs at the edge of the arms, green pants with a belt and light green shoes.
Personality[]
He seemed relatively good, doing his job in testing metal and how pure the "gold" was. However, he was really a greedy con man trying trick people into buying expensive land for pyrites. He was also not actually that good at his job because of his lack of knowing golds true amount.
History[]
Scooby-Doo (Marvel Comics)[]
He was visited by prospectors as one of them had supposedly made a discovery in a piece of "gold" thanks to the "assistants" from a ghost. Which he tested and found it to be sixteen ounces, aka one pound of gold.
He later spied on Shaggy and Scooby snooping around from his office, as he turned out to be using a scheme to con the prospectors with the help of a man named Alf, who went in disguise as the Golden Ghost to scare the two away so they could pack their stuff and leave.
A few minutes past and he grew a bit concerned for Alf taking to long, not until Shaggy and Scooby zipped on by, followed by Alf still in costume crashing into him do to his self confidence. The two were aphrended for their crimes of conning the prospectors into mining for pyrite, then having them buy up the land before splitting the money. He also turned out to be a phony do to his lack of knowing how much gold actually weighs.
