Anar was called upon by his father Fakir as Daphne, who was the test subject of the magic rope trick, ended up getting pulled out of the tent. He climbed up after her to try and get her down, but he ended up disappearing from out of view.
He turned out to have been kidnapped and locked in a treasure chest by a Monkey-man haunting the Taj Mahal. Shaggy and Scooby found him outside while Fred and the rest found Daphne knocked out in one of the hallways. He was rescued shortly after his dad and the others discovered that the supposed monkey monster was really a costume worn by Dr. Doo Badder, an evil rival magician who was trying to get rid of his father by terrifying him enough to do so. After Doo Badder was arrested for his crimes, Anar joined in on a large feast with his dad and Mystery Inc. to celebrate.
