Personality[]
Alfred is a gentlemanly and polite Englishman. He is very loyal to his master, Bruce Wayne during his crusade as Batman over the years after his parents were killed by Joe Chill.
When he was captured by the Joker, Alfred is revealed to be tough while he was tortured by Joker when he launched tennis balls at him to interrogate him into giving him the passwords to Bruce's bank accounts, and Alfred refused to give in.
History[]
Early life[]
Alfred served as the Wayne butler for years, and also served as the butler of the Blakes when Daphne was a little girl. After Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed by Joe Chill when Bruce was a young boy, Alfred helped him in his crusade as Batman during his first year. (What a Night, for a Dark Knight!)
Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?[]
Season one[]
Alfred is revealed to be an old friend of Daphne Blake's family -- in fact, Alfred was apparently close enough to the family (or at least Daphne) that Daphne calls him "Uncle" Alfred. (What a Night, for a Dark Knight!)
He's mentioned by Mark Hamill when he mentions that he heard about how the gang had rescued Batman's butler from the Joker. (The Sword, the Fox and the Scooby-Doo!)

Notes/trivia[]
- In What a Night, for a Dark Knight!, he's claimed to be an old family friend of the Blakes, being an "honorary uncle" to Daphne. In DC Comics continuity (at least from back in the 1970s), Alfred does in fact have a niece named Daphne -- however, being the daughter of Alfred's brother (making her Alfred's biological niece), her last name is "Pennyworth." Also, instead of being a redhead, Daphne Pennyworth has blonde hair.
