Alan Dinsdale is an older man with graying black hair and he has a beard. Dinsdale normally wears a pair of yellow reading glasses, a green vest with a chain attached to it, a white shirt, gray pants, and brown shoes. As an agent, he wears a full black suit.

Dinsdale is a stoic man with a dry sense of humor. He’s very responsible and very well organized. Dinsdale also has a very strong sense of justice.

Early life[]

Alan was in Velma Dinkley's old neighborhood. He had been put in charge of the Hambridge University Library.

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem[]

Mr. Dinsdale called Mystery Inc. to come and solve a mystery of hauntings at his library. He believed that an ancient book called the Tome of Doom had summoned the ghosts in his library. The gang eventually defeated the ghosts and found one fake one, Dinsdale's own assistant, Walter Peabody, and was very disappointed. He also suggested that the gang investigate the missing pages in the Tome of Doom.[1]

Dinsdale reveals himself

After the mind-altering device at Sherman-Tech Headquarters had been destroyed, one of the scientists revealed himself to be Mr. Dinsdale, who was working undercover, and now have solid evidence of Travis Sherman and Selena Drake's plan, he placed them under arrest. Selena ran from the authorities, and they all chased until they found her. She then released the King of Fire. Shaggy and Scooby-Doo capture him. Afterward, he thanked Shaggy and Scooby for their bravery, rewarding them with a box of Scooby Snacks having done the research.[2]
