Alan Burnett is a writer and producer in animation. He has written episodes for Hanna-Barbera's The Smurfs (starring Don Messick and June Foray), Disney's original DuckTales (starring Alan Young, Russi Taylor, and Chuck McCann), and Warner Bros. Animation (WBA)'s Batman: The Animated Series (starring Kevin Conroy). He was also the co-creator of the 2005 series Krypto the Superdog alongside Paul Dini. He also suggested the name "Darkwing" in Disney's Darkwing Duck (starring Jim Cummings. From 2009 to 2017, upon his retirement, he had been producer of most of WBA's direct-to-video films, which include Scooby-Doo, Tom and Jerry, and DC Comics.
