A Night at the Opera is a 1935 comedy film starring the Marx Brothers, set in Milan, Italy. Carol Burnett developed a virtual reality simulation of the film which was tested by her and Mystery Inc.

Season two[]
The simulation of A Night at the Opera was the third of Carol Burnett's virtual reality simulations tested by Mystery Inc. When they entered, they attempted to recreate one of the scenes in a restaurant in which Burnett played business manager Otis B. Driftwood, but they were attacked by several duplicate ghost monsters (which was created by a computer virus). The ghost monster chased Mystery Inc. into the world of another film simulation, based on the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
