- Étant un tie-in à WrestleMania de la même année, ce film a été promu plus que les autres, bien que la seule chose qu'il n'a pas obtenu contrairement aux autres films, c'était une novélisation (peut-être à cause des marques de commerce du nom de la WWE, mais ce n'est pas confirmé explicitement) :
- Mattel a mis au marché deux packs de deux figures, comprenant Scooby et soit John Cena, soit Sin Cara.
- WWE a mis au marché des t-shirts.
- Scooby-Doo (ou bien un mec déguisé) est apparu sur l'édition de WWE Raw du 24 mars 2014, un jour avant que le film est sorti en DVD et Blu-ray. Il a "assisté" Sin Cara dans le ring contre Damian Sandow.
- Le motif d'entrée présente beaucoup d'éléments de Scooby-Doo, où es-tu ?, y compris :
- des images du robot Charlie, un des spectres verts ricanants, le spectre de l'espace, le sorcier Indien, le fantôme du capitaine Cutler, le fantôme de Barbe-Rousse et le passe-muraille ;
- A lot of scenes from the show playing in the background, as well as live-action shots of WWE matches, while the characters are being introduced in the front. Because of this the main cast aren't credited at the beginning.
- In the teaser, when Miz first encounters the Ghost Bear, he refers to it as "Yogi".
- The Mystery Machine has been redesigned, resembling the new look it had the Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue! TV series.
- Shaggy references the fact that the gang wear the same outfits every day when Daphne and Velma complain to him about forgetting their luggage. Also, when Daphne only has two scarfs to choose from she asks Velma which one is better with a predictable response.
- The businesses in are named after subjects relating to and wrestling in general:
- Sleeper Hold Hotel is a reference to a wrestling move.
- Royal Rumble Ribs is a reference to the pay-per-view event held every January by the WWE.
- McMahon's Waffle House is named after Mr. McMahon. It even has his face on top of the sign.
- Tap Out Diner may refer to the submission move.
- Tombstone Tacos is a spoof name on the Undertaker's signature move, Tombstone.
- Numerous references are made to Brodus Clay's time as the Funkasaurus.
- Brodus's dancers appear to be based on the Funkadactyls who had already disbanded at the time.
- Brodus refers to his entrance music, "Somebody Call My Momma", when he says "Time somebody called your Momma" when facing the Ghost Bear, and when a man in the WrestleMania crowd held a sign saying "Somebody call your Momma".
- During the broadcast of WrestleMania on television, three sequences were shown of four girls watching the main event on their sofa, resembling Cassie Sandsmark (Wonder Girl), Artemis Crock (Artemis), Zatara Zatanna (Zatara), and Megan Morse (Miss Martian) from Young Justice: Invasion, the second season of Young Justice on Cartoon Network. Brandon Vietti, who directed this film, was the co-creator of the Young Justice TV series.
Incohérences/erreurs de continuité et/ou gaffes/bizarreries
- Fred was a major wrestling fan in the What's New, Scooby-Doo? episode, Wrestle Maniacs, but here he has to be guilted in to going to WrestleMania. Daphne also had no problem in going to the Bosepheus Jumbo Wrestling Bowl in the aformentioned episode, but she really doesn't want to go to WrestleMania at all.
- Are the gang that incompetent that they leave Shaggy to pack their bags for the trip?
- Even if they did only wear one outfit they would still need another set of a fresh clothing, not to mention underwear.
- It's implied, but not explicitly confirmed that those who work at the WWE live in WWE City. It's unknown if this applies to everyone of its employees.
