This is an alternate to the Scooby-Doo Where Are You episode Mine Your Own Business. It's the way it should've been.
(The next day, after unmasking the Miner 49er as Hank, the kids are telling Big Ben the whole thing.)
Big Ben: So it was old Hank who was scaring of my guests.
Fred: To force you out of business.
Velma: That way, he could buy the guest ranch, the ghost town...
Shaggy: And like, the mine for almost nothing.
Big Ben: Then there must still be gold in that old mine.
Daphne: Not gold. Black gold.
Big Ben: You mean oil?
Shaggy: Like right. (As they're talking, Scooby looks behind him, sees apple trees, and licks his lips. He runs over to the tress and stares at them.)
Big Ben: But how did Hank know about the oil?
Daphne: He accidentally found the secret mine entrance in the old hotel safe.
Velma: And instead of gold, he found oil.
Fred: He had the exact location laid out on a map.
Shaggy: Then he, like, hid the map in a cigar store Indian for safe keeping.
Big Ben: Too bad. We could've been partners.
Fred: Well, you still can be. Hank's just getting a five dollar fine. Then he'll redeem himself.
Shaggy: Hey, like what happened to Scooby? (Shaggy looks around. Scooby is using Hank's stilts to pick apples off one of the trees. Daphne sees him.)
Daphne: There he is.
Fred: (sees a gopher hole) Scooby, look out for that gopher hole! (Scooby steps into the hole, looses his balance, and falls into a water trough. He holds up two apples that he didn't drop.)
Scooby: Scooby-Doo!
Shaggy: One of those apples better be for me. (Scooby laughs.)
The end.
The episode should've ended like this, because Hank was the only one who knew about the oil, and therefore, wasn't really doing anything illegal. If he was charged for trespassing in the mine, he would just get a fine.
